Here are some hotels suggestions:

Above pictures was taken at Sangga Buana hotel, those pictures are taken at their jogging track area. This is the hotel that I would like to recommend, it is in Cipanas area. Why do I recommend this hotel? Because the price is very value for money. It provide many facilities, have swimming pool, billiard facility, children playground, bar, and tennis arena. One problem with many hotels in Puncak area is that some hotels located right beside the road, so it is very noisy. But don’t worry, you would be able to sleep soundly in this hotel, except if you book the economy room, you’ll hear some disturbing sound from water pump machine, but thats fine for me.

Below photos was taken at Puncak Pass Resort:

And below photos was taken at Novus Giri:

And then Casa Monta Rosa:

Actually nearby this Casa Monta Rosa there are another hotels too, Lembah Pinus and the other one I forgot the name, all are in walking distance. So if you stay at Casa Monte Rosa, you could also walk to other hotel for sightseeing.

Below is Ariandri:

Okay, now here is my suggestion. Puncak is a mountainous area in West Java, it is closer to Jakarta compare to Bandung and Lembang. Personally I would prefer Puncak to Bandung/Lembang, because I am just looking for a place for being lazy the whole day or reading books. Weather is good, foods are just so so, not many places for shopping.

For hotel, as mentioned above, I would suggest that you book at Sangga Buana. For Puncak Pass Resort and Ariandri, they are noisy for me. And then if you are planning to go there just for 1 night for example on weekend. Then better depart on Saturday dawn time about 4 or 5 AM. You’ll be able to reach Puncak at around 7 AM. Then, I’d suggest that you have your breakfast at Puncak Pass Resort, or at The Grand Hill Hotel. The price is about IDR 100k – 125k per person and it is all you can eat.

After having your breakfast, there are many places you can go, I usually like to go to Kebun Raya Cibodas for exercise. Walking around in that botanical garden. Or, if I am not into exercise, I usually pick one place for reading books. Either “Melrimba Garden” or “Roofpark”.

For restaurants, you can check on Zomato application after you’ve arrived there. All foods there are just so so, Bavarian Haus is good, but rather expensive for me. The only place that sell pork in Puncak is ‘Amen’ restaurant, but foods there are just so so. Indomie taste better lah. Some other restaurants are quite famous, like Bumi Aki, Bumi Nini, etc but I feel those just taste so so.

Then in the afternoon time, go check in to hotel. Then just relax there, take a nap, meditate, and so on. For dinner, if you’re looking for buffett, you can go to Novus, they have BBQ all you can eat, but confirm with them first before you go there.

Then the next day, on Sunday morning. Actually, morning time at Cipanas is the perfect time for being LAZY, seriously, the weather is just so perfect. No matter what, just SLEEP. No need to rush, you can check out at 12.00. And I don’t suggest that you go back to Jakarta too early. Because theres traffic engineering in Puncak area. On Sunday, 9 – 11 AM, it is one way from Jakarta to Puncak (so you cannot go back during this time). And then from 3 PM – 5 PM it is one way from Puncak to Jakarta. So no need to rush, it would be just the same, you’ll stuck with traffic jam.

Happy Lazy Day 😉
